Meet the Team
A Great Kitchen Starts with Great People
At Williamsons Kitchens, we're a close-knit team who genuinely enjoy what we do. From your first visit to the showroom through to the final finishing touches, you'll be working with people who care about getting every detail right.
We've been designing and installing kitchens for decades, but we're always learning, always improving and always looking for new ways to create kitchens that work beautifully for the people who use them. Here's a little more about the faces behind Williamsons.
The Williamsons Team
David Williamson
-
If there's one person who knows Williamsons inside out, it's David.
He joined the family business straight from school in 1986 as a joinery apprentice, learning first-hand what makes quality craftsmanship. Those years on-site gave him a practical understanding of how kitchens are built, alongside an appreciation for designs that are as functional as they are beautiful.
As technology evolved, so did David's role. He moved from the drawing board to some of the very first CAD design software before taking over the business when his parents retired. Today, he focuses entirely on designing kitchens, leading the company and ensuring every project lives up to the standards Williamsons has become known for.
David has also overseen the growth of the showroom and the partnership with Nolte Kitchens, one of Germany's leading kitchen manufacturers.
When he's not designing kitchens, you'll usually find him with a good book, listening to music, out running, cycling through the countryside, or taking the dog for a long walk.
Fiona Williamson
-
If you've visited our showroom, chances are you've already met Fiona.
Since joining Williamsons in 2010, she's been the friendly face keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, looking after both the showroom and the office.
Fiona has a real passion for kitchen design and especially enjoys discovering what's next. Every year she visits the Nolte showroom in Germany to explore the latest collections, colours and innovations, bringing fresh ideas back to Aberdeenshire and helping keep our showroom inspiring for every client who walks through the door.
Outside work, Fiona enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, getting out for a walk and fitting in a gym session whenever she can.
Colin "Westy" West
-
Every great kitchen needs a great installer, and that’s where Colin comes in, or Westy as we like to know him.
Having joined Williamsons in 2012, Westy brings years of joinery experience to every project. After completing his apprenticeship as a shop joiner, he built an impressive career across all aspects of joinery and home improvement before becoming our lead fitter.
His craftsmanship, attention to detail and pride in his work can be seen in every kitchen he installs. He's the sort of person who notices the tiny details that most people would never spot, and that's exactly why our installations are completed to such a high standard.
Away from work, Westy swaps kitchen installations for football pitches, coaching junior football, alongside running and mountain biking whenever he gets the chance.
Paul Dunn
-
Paul joined Williamsons in 2020, combining his background in joinery with a passion for thoughtful kitchen design.
He loves working closely with clients, taking their ideas and turning them into kitchens that feel personal, practical and built around everyday life. Seeing a project develop from the first sketch through to the finished installation is one of the most rewarding parts of his job.
Like the rest of the team, Paul enjoys the annual visit to Nolte's headquarters in Germany, where he gathers inspiration, explores new products and keeps up to date with the latest design trends.
His current favourite style? A beautifully crafted in-frame kitchen. For Paul, it's hard to beat the timeless character and craftsmanship that this style brings to a home.
Outside work, Paul enjoys spending time with his family, being involved in church life and making music, whether that's playing or simply listening.
The Williamsons Difference
We believe designing a kitchen should feel personal, not pressured.
Our team combines decades of hands-on joinery experience with creative design expertise, giving you practical advice that’s grounded in real-world knowledge. We don't just know how a kitchen should look, we understand how it will be built, installed and lived in for years to come.
Because we're a small, experienced team, you'll always know who you're speaking to. The people designing your kitchen are the same people overseeing the project, answering your questions and making sure everything runs as it should.
It's this personal approach, combined with genuine craftsmanship and a passion for great design, that has helped Williamsons create kitchens families continue to enjoy for many years after installation. We can't wait to help you create yours.
